Well what most younger ppl Think when they see these old school games, and Think they are so ugly and what not, they forget that, when the games LIKE ROTT and others Before, is that the developers, had some very limiting things back then then they do now, and it was that games couldnt TAKE gigabytes of harddrive space, cuz most ppl had maybe 1 gigayte of space, AND wanted alot of other stuff, then one game, my first PC had like 750mb, had like 5-6 games, and mp3\photos\movies +windows :) that didnt leave alot of room, and when games took like 30-50mb, that dont leave ALOT of room for eyecandy, also the graphiccards back then was stoneage compared too the cards u can get today, the ppl that bitch about old school games should respect the old games ALOT more then they do, WITHOUT them they prob wouldnt have the games they have today.......also the developers added kickass tunes mostly cuz it added more experience of the game\games......cheap but effective :P
@Elchupanibres7 жыл бұрын
no most ppl had 1000mb, and rott didnt run from disc, u installed the game from disk sure, but if any games used CD,s Disk run games the really old pc games, Rott was not run by disk, ofc ppl could have alot more hardrive but that cost Money, and most highend computers had maybe 3 harddrives, due to the fact that u couldnt have many drive slots on motherboards, unless u really "pushed it" hardware wise :)

Manek Iridius Videogame culture was in the early-to-mid 90s somewhat isolated from mainstream culture, it was still a bit "underground". It was only after the release of the PlayStation that the general public became aware of videogames as a cultural phenomenon. At the time of the release of Rise of the Triad, videogames were seen as a geek thing or something just for little children. So, videogames in the 90s doesn't represent mainstream culture of the days. Even the highly successful Tomb Raider became a movie just in the early 2000s.
