Ur profile pic is a porsche... porsche followed toyota/lexus lead in the late 90s early 00s..and mentioned lexus as a benchmark for manufacturing around the same time...stop acting like toyota don't know what they are doing...when u sell the most cars in the world it says enough...VW sells 2nd most cars but they own and rely on more than a handful of other manufacturers to reach those sales figures.

@@dcon8602 It’s a Toyota! Of course you sell more Toyotas just like more people eat at Olive Garden than at a 5 star Italian restaurant. What is your point? No one dreams of becoming wealthy in order to buy a Toyota whereas Porsche has become the standard by which the sports car industry seeks to compete. Buy a Toyota if you want to get your kids to their soccer match in a reliable car. Buy a Porsche if you want to enjoy driving a real sports car that you can also take to the track.

@drstevej2527 it's a toyota? Okay...there are plenty of toyotas out there that would give the work to a porsche on the street or the track... most toyotas being simple is by design... so toyota can get to the bag..they don't need to go extra hard on every vehicle.. but im willing to put my life on the line that when toyota has an itch to compete with any manufacture on this earth.. they will do it better and in a way that no one can match.

@@dcon8602 Yes that’s its selling point. It’s a reliable soccer mom car. A Thoroughbred race horse is not what you want if you want to pull a plow but it is what you want if you want to race horses. Lastly every time Toyota tries to build a sports car it’s a failure. The Supra is a BMW not by chance as Toyota does not know how to build a performance vehicle like the Germans. The LC 500 high performance variant was cancelled because of terrible sales of the base model. A car that is slower than a 3 series sedan! Lastly Porsche makes a very reliable car which is incredible given what it’s designed to do. No one dreams of a Toyota after they become wealthy for a reasons. The sign that you arrived in Asia is a German luxury car not a Toyota.

@@drstevej2527 first and foremost...the supra is a BMW because they went to toyota and basically said if you let us look at some of your hydrogen fuel cell research we will build the next supra for u...2nd....a porsche is a porcshe because it can't be anything else....toyota is toyota and is and can tap into any pocket of the automotive industry and do it successfully...the high performance variant of the LC was canceled for a number of reasons.. not just sales..but yes.. toyota/lexus is not in the business of losing money so and LCF wouldn't have made sense knowing that it wouldn't sell as much as they would hope... it would basically be a car that would be consistent with almost everything genesis is doing..meaning they are pushing all their chips to the center as a marketing tool to gain more sales and brand loyalty... toyota lexus doesn't have to do that.
