From personal experience, dark fog doesn’t attack until you start launching things into space, and even then it’s incredibly slow to start.

Just make a hub at the North Pole of the planet with like 30-40 missile turrets. Then all you have to do is spread out signal towers across the planet in a certain pattern and the relay stations won’t be able to land.

btw kibs, you can customize your mechs appearance. You can just change the colors, but you can even go a step further and modify the model of the mech in-game

You can put small storage on top of splitters. The overflow items go directly to the storage. it's faster than sorters and don't need energy.

Space Hives are only triggered by attacking relay stations or shooting solar sails into orbit. Otherwise, they're pretty passive unless you fly too close to them

Kibz as one other person said there’s now an inline way to buffer the output of your buildings. Just build a splitter in line with your belt and then stack a storage box on top of it. No sorters needed.

The one BP I like from "other youtubers" is placing signal towers around the world along the longitude lines and having a polar defense net on the planet. Signal towers on the longitude lines, combined with solar or wind turbines means you've got power anywhere on the planet. disclaimer: I am a newb at the game. edit: also vertical construction exists @ matrix labs. :)

Hi, i must say that you can stack matrix lab above one another. This can be reasearched and improved in technology (in the Technology second pannel with mecha upgrades) With this you can save space and, at the same time production improvement for cubes. Beacause creating cubes with matrix lab stacked you might need more input for materials, depending on your output (sorters)

Signal Towers would have saved you a few hours of putting defenses all over planet. I also agree about the 4am comment. I have to keep myself from starting the game up after 11pm or I'll end up staying up way too late.

You've already reached a tech level where long belts should never be built. Fidget spinners (logistic bots) have a relatively short range right now, but they can easily be used to distribute things across gaps. Not that missiles need to be one of those things, because signal towers exist.

everyone's talking about signal towers, but i think Kibz needs to realize they added smaller drones that go onto the boxes, that are basically early short-range beltless logistics before you research the planetary and interplanetary drones xD and they added them like, a couple of weeks after his last series in vanilla DSP

With the rocket turrets you can combo them up with signal towers and let the chaos unfold also your sort of right splitting your turrets up but I just slap blocks of 20 down then daisy chain signal towers to what needs to be deleted of my planet

Usually not one to comment, just a quiet lurker. But I really wanted to tell you that you can stack Storage MK.1 and splitters. By placing the Storage MK.1 on top of a splitter (in any of the 3 forms of the splitter). I see you're using a lot of Storage containers with sorters next to it and it could help with efficiency and reducing the building costs.

hallo, if you hold shift on a building after adding the arms to connect it to the conveyor belt, you can then shift drag the building to make all the arms on the other buildings. suuuuuuuuuuper time saver.

Hey kibitz, I see you have splitters with runs that end up going up a level. When you are building splitters, if you hit tab you will get different configurations of splitters that just outputs/inputs to that higher level. Then you throw a storage box on top and it can do your buffering... or you throw the thing for the fidget spinners on top of that and it becomes a little logistics station of sorts.

Btw, did you know you can stack MK1 Storage on Splitter? helps with buffering them goods and also with pre production because you can store littaraly directly on the belt. no more sorters other then for getting stuff in the Mashines. 😎

@@tartu2583 No. Nothing was wrong with the pronunciation of missile. missile => mi-səl , chiefly British mi-sīl The problem was the wrong word entirely was being used for silicon. silicon => silly-con or silly-can silicone => silly-cone So when I heard silicone I thought breast implants which was amusing to me. 😋

Darkfog doesn't launch towers to the planet you are currently on. So as long as you stay on your starter planet the darkfog won't expand to your planet. It WILL expand to other planets.
