fun fact: beta Luigi came from the trailer of Luigi's mansion. if you see the trailer, you can see the depressed face Luigi was doing in the mod. lightning was also in this mod too, idk why, but it hasn't been showing up for other people who played it. but there is a moment when lightning strikes, and you can see bf hanging himself. it will appear 2 times. this was a reference to the trailer, where people were watching it, and people could see a shadow of Luigi hanging himself. it was later revealed to be a lighting error.

For anyone curious about the references here is all the necessary info It's-A-Me/ Mario.exe: Based on the "Super Horror Mario" image by Shadow-Shana It was used in alot of Mario horror related video thumbnails back in the day (And even still to this day) GoldenLand/ GB: An oc by one of the mod devs, Marco Antonio, based on Super Mario Land 2, 6 Golden Coins The opening of the song is based on the Athletic Theme from the game Poison Mushroom Notes: A reference to the Mario.exe fangame by CoolRash Warp Whistle: A secret item in Mario Bros 3 which would take you to the Warp Zone I HATE YOU/ Luigi: From a Super Mario World creepypasta IHATEYOU by Slime Beast, where Luigi betrays Mario, but ultimately Mario is able to overpower him and accidently drops him into Lava, his corpse showing up in the End Screen The eyeless boos, I HATE YOU splattered on the wall¹ and drowned Marios are also a reference to the creepypasta Alone/ Beta Luigi: A sad Luigi from the E3 2001 trailer of Luigi's Mansion who was assumed to be a game over screen if you failed to save Mario, but this was never confirmed, and the animation was most likely only for E3 In the final game Sad Luigi appears in a scrapped graphic for the end screen where you see your mansion rank, assumed to be used if you got a bad rank at the end Alone/ BF's h^nging body²: A reference to the popular fan theory about Luigi being dead in Luigi's Mansion, started by a bug with the lighting engine, where when Luigi is on the phone in the attic, during lightening flashes³, the shadow appears to show Luigi h^nging Apparition/ Wario Apparition: The dissembled head of Wario from the Mario64 Iceberg and the "Every copy of Mario 64 is personalized" theory, not much is know since each sighting is slightly different, but he mostly shows up in the Dire, Dire Docks hallway where he will chase you down a seemingly never ending corridor, getting caught by him can lead to seizures His left arrow pose is a reference to a Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins where he tries to hypnotize the viewer to "Obey Wario, DESTROY Mario" The origin of the head is from Nintendo's 1996 E3 conference where a floating Wario Head talked to guest with a static background, he was on a background of the Dire Dire Docks hallway when he said a now iconic quote "You want fun? WARIO show you fun!" Apparition/ Game Over: Mario.exe is seen smiling on a dark screen with Japanese text that translate to "Nintendo does not allow unlicensed or pirated products. Game Over" This is a reference to the Anti-Piracy Screen also from the Mario64 Iceberg and "Every copy of Mario 64 is personalized" theory Powerdown/ MX: The antagonist of Mario 85' (Previously know as Mario Pc Port) a game by The_Mari0_Bot and Taco Games, the game is still in an early demo state so not much is known about him other than his extreme power, and for some reason wanting to hunt down a boy named Lucas (Who is playing as Luigi in the game) So long, Boyfriend is also a reference to Mario 85', where the demo ends saying "So long, Lucas" Race-Traitors/ Racist Mario: From a parody video by the channel Flashgitz called "Racist Mario" Do I really need to explain this one Ok fine, its a Mario Kart parody video where the other characters invited Non-Nintendo characters, which Mario hates, calling them a RACE Traitor (¹ ² ³Note: Lightening/BF Shadow, rain, and I HATE YOU text dont show up if Flashing Lights are turned off)
