Tying a little line to the end of the wires before you pull them out, gives you something to tie them back on, and pull them thru the little hole. Just a suggestions for next time. Thank you for sharing.

You’re 100% right. That’s how I did it in my own f100 I didn’t need to on this one. But yes that is a much easier way to do it if you’ve never done it before.
@guillermonieri42035 жыл бұрын
@living in a desert I did the same thing, until I remember how electricians pull new wire in construction. No doubt we learn thru mistakes (or doing the things the hard way).

Can anyone give me some advice? I have a 1969 F250 with a 3 speed on the column. I can’t drive a manual.. everyone keeps telling me these old classic trucks are not good for learning how to drive stick shift and that I should swap it out for an automatic for now.

All these guys are right. It takes a good month to get good and confident with a stick. But in an older vehicle everything is mechanical. And you feel everything so you know what the trucks doing. I was the only guy out of 1500 people in my entire high school that had a 3 on the tree. They’re unique. And get a lot of commentary at car shows. Anyone and everyone has an auto. Stay original. Plus if you’re like me and get bored of it you can swap to a five speed and get some speed out of the thing.

There will always be room for original stock parts .. and that said what flies for him won't hold butter for you. I hold soft spots for the original, but I have always fabbed my own when it came to building bullet proof tripel sticks for drag racing style. Just touch and wala boom they hit with a vengeance into next gear no clutch necessary cause it was split second and you had to listen sharp to hear rpms to change. ... five second quarter miles ate buck fifty speeds. I like you are fixing galaxie but hope that the truck gets a lot of love on the way. It may stretch things thing... hope it ain't top roman/LOL. I hear catsup makes the best tomato soup

not being rude but why a inline 6 do they have any benefit over the v8 or is it just preference and cost
@brendonmanship88545 жыл бұрын
Well in stock form an inline 6 will inherently make more torque than a v8 just becuase of the configuration. That and its kinda obscure.
