Whenever I go home to Munich I always walk past the apartment I lived in as a child. Happy memories ❤. Hoping to go again next year, been too long. Thanks for sharing, beautiful building.

Love this. I am in my70s and lived for a couple of years close by in the swinging 60s. Brought back so many memories. 🌝

What lovely memories your visit must have brought you. The house I grew up in in Germany (a small town outside Frankfurt) was torn down years ago and is now a parking lot for a strip mall. So sad to have seen that on a visit home some years ago 😞

Happy FriYay , Margaret ☕🎉 what a lovely place too live. I also live in a small room and I love it 😊 it is nice and cozy . I down size also from living in a 🏡 house, so glad I did let's stuff to clean and more free time for me and I have more money 💰 too do whatever I wish and it is just me and a small room is all I need . And what is good for me may not be good for other's . But as they say to each it's own.😊I love my little place❤

So exciting to go on this adventure with you. Such a beautiful street you lived on. Love it. Was it hot up there in the summer?....

Looks like a lovely area to live. When you say one room, do you mean an efficiency apartment or literally a room where you could not cook ? I love the gardens lining the street. Thank you for sharing with us.

my room had a small area for cooking a sink, refrigerator and oven. This plus a bed and desk were the only things in the room

Oh, wow, how beautiful!!😊 How old were you, when you lived there? You had to climb all the stairs everyday...

I think living in a single room would drive me insane. My home has 6 rooms and I’m always outside as it is, either sitting on my deck swing, going for a walk with my dog or doing outdoor chores, even in winter.

Wonderful! However, some of us have very simple needs, and, we do NOT have the means to live in a large house with outside areas for activities. I think I could be quite content in a single room or studio apartment. As it is, I now live in an attic apartment..one bedroom, and no patio, porch, balcony, terrace, backyard or lanai. Nothing. We are moving, because I have a young grandson, but, for me, "coziness" is all I require. I'm sure Margaret's one room dwelling in Switzerland makes her quite content. We try to live within our individual needs. Rosemarie

Beautiful building! Is there an elevator?

Notting Hill in London is a very expensive and desirable area and I would personally rather live in a fantastic area in one room, if that's all I could afford, over a large house out in the suburbs. I guess we all have unique needs and wants

I do understand. But for me, it works really well.
@sixtyandme2 ай бұрын
this was my logic precisely. I wanted to live in one room in an area that I liked rather than in a larger place in an area I did not. I was very contented my small room with the use of the garden across the street.
