In this episode of the Baldcafe Podcast we welcome Ben. Ben talks us through his journey with going bald and shares with us how he took the road of acceptance and in now living his best bald life.
Ben experience with going bald began in his late teens. He previously felt insecure about what he describes as a big forehead. As he began to thin at the crown and notice his hairline receding he decided to do something about it. Starting with a conversation with his girlfriend he went on to decide to shave it off and get back to living a vital life.
I'd like to thank Ben for coming onto the channel and sharing his journey so honestly. It takes courage an we both hope this video can help some of you guys out there struggling to navigate your own journey through going bald.

I can relate big time! I didn’t realise just how much the whole balding situation impacts you psychologically. Since shaving my head I still find myself turning my head when it’s windy because I was so used to trying to keep my hair fixed in a certain way.

I haven’t gone completely to bald yet, but recently I just buzzed my hair the shortest I ever have. I’m 26 now and have been pretty self conscious about my hair for a few years. Even with just buzzing it very short I feel so much better. It’s great hearing similar stories, that others are going through the same things.

I’m 50 and went bald from 18 onwards. I found it very traumatic at the time until I cut all the strands off at about 25 years old. From then on I’ve tried to embrace it and being tall helps. However, even at my age I still don’t like going out in bright light (day time, sunlight, bright lights) without a baseball cap. Going bald is awful and no one who hasn’t experienced it has no idea how difficult it can be. However there is no doubt that acceptance of how you look and projecting confidence is the way forward. I miss my hair and I still am grieving although I have accepted it. I still look at other men with great (or any) hair and I’m still a bit envious. Clippers and confidence, self - acceptance and moving forward are the key steps.

@@tjm8790 yeah they did help but I am on a spiritual path and I'm trying to do the right things. using hormone disruptors will bring me out of balance and energy and it will also pollute the earth. I mean we already have enough pollution right. I'm trying to not be selfish here. I'm trying to be a MAN here. People that judge you for being bald or losing hair don't matter anyway. They are not important. it's part of life, some men ( a lot of actually ) lose their hair. it took some time for me to accept it but I did and I hope that it will influence the universe in a positive way. I'll deal with it the right way.

About 4 years ago someone at work called me over to speak to me and said “Just to let you know you’re going bald ”… obviously I already knew this but from that moment it became a problem for me. I think I’m going to finally shave it all off soon.

36 years old now- I started losing hair at around 27 and went through a phase of using the hair fibers which I felt ( I knew) people could see it as they’d comment on it. I started pulling it back and growing the top to the point of wearing a man bun ( which I absolutely hated) I’d then cover the man bun with a hat lol... I got to the point where I’m covering everything... I moved to America Texas in 2019 at the age of 34 still sporting the bun and had enough- the heat here sealed the deal- I remember my wife being in the bathroom with me while I was on a video call with my twin- he had already shaved his off and the last word he called me was a pussy lmao- the shaver was quickly grabbed and ran it at full speed down the middle. Never looked back I love the shaved head look people say now it suits me and looks fresh.. you see other bald guys more when you’re bald you’re not alone it feels like you’re in a gang ahhaha Later

I gotta say that I started shaving (well actually I buzz it) my head about 1.5 year ago. And I felt the exact same way all those guys did. Handsome with hair, but even more handsome bald. I rarely see a guy who looks other than great without hair. What I generally find is that a shaved head focuses attention on the features (especially the eyes) and that's almost always a huge benefit.

Noticed my receding hairline in late 30s. Now thinning in the crown area. Keep hair short these days and I date ladies in my own age range, I'm 48. Hair loss common at this age and they don't seem to care one way or another. Feel for the younger guys. I'm going to take it all off soon. I was fine with the receding but the crown bothers me from time to time. Peace of mind and see how it all works out when I shave it off.

I think getting a girlfriend is all about attitude and being in the right place at the right time. I would consider me good looking too and there were maybe some potential gf‘s in the past, but yeah, it didn’t happen. But I‘m still young and I‘m sure I will find one one day. Hey the truth is , because you were not able to grow your hair doesn't mean you shouldn't believe that other people can't grow theirs . I personally had experience of a man in real life who drank onions and honey every night and applied it to his hair .he did it for a long time and eliminated male pattern baldness from his life. he still kept on doing it too prevent any further hair loss . afterall massaging, rosemary oil is bcked up by science Hair guard is a channel that gives people hope to restore their hairline this channel does otherwise
