Crabbing can be really fun because it's non-stop action compared to fishing. Lots of times you are tossing back the non-keeper crabs, but sometimes you catch ones that are big enough. We do try fishing, but we are pretty bad at it. We never catch much.

Wow, that is a whole different endeavor than what I am familiar with. I never ate crabs much, other than Alaskan King Crab at a restaurant, so it is all foreign to me. The bald eagles were magnifient, and I am sure you got a great meal out of your endeavors. Thanks for sharing this interesting video! (Nice Rocky Mountain National Park shirt, they are now requiring reservations to go there. Crazy world.)
@hikingoutdoorfamily3 ай бұрын
If you like Alaskan King crabs, these would be a disappointment. The meat in these is so tasty, but not nearly as much as a king crab. Yes, it was awesome to see the Bald Eagles. I always take a camera when we go fishing or do stuff like this because you do see wildlife. Yes - when we went to Rocky Mountain - maybe 3/4 years ago we actually needed the timed entry pass. It was still very crowded even with that in place and we worked around it by starting our hikes extra early in the morning. Thanks for watching!

Yes, for people that have boats they often use a large box trap that they would leave in the water over a tide change. We don't have a boat, just kayaks so these compact ring traps off a bridge work well for us.
