I used to go to Rhinebeck throughout the '70s with my uncle when he flew RC planes from that field. We'd go up for the weekend from Long Island for these massive RC fly in's for WWI and inter-war year airplanes. More than once Cole Palen chatted up my uncle (who was an airplane mechanic) and me in the hangars where he stored the old WW1 planes "waiting for repair". I have not been there since then so it's good to see it all in good shape. I figured that's the area you lived in Andy, I went to college in New Paltz so I recognized the terrain. Look up the "flying farmer at Rhinebeck" to see something fun at that field. Great stuff Andy!
