So I watch the video clip on what happened to Chris on lake Murray. I have had the chance to meet Chris twice once at the classic on lake Hartwell, and I meet him on lake Murray. The one thing that impressed me the most that day on lake Murray. Chris and his wife was setting up there camper and I stop to see Chris. Chris and his wife stopped what they were doing and took time out for me to get a picture and Chris signed my hat. I really appreciate Chris and his wife’s honesty, and being real. That’s a rare quality. I will say Chris is the real deal. Keep on keeping on.

I’ve shared a single point with 3 other boats. I’ve lost fish because of another boats proximity and the bent rod pattern is the biggest pattern on the lake. That guy was a POS and you had every right to be there. Next time pull up beside him and go to work!

Spot on... We had the Bassmaster Elite series show up in Escanaba, Michigan I found out the day before they came because there were people setting up in the park....0 local advertising. Really fishing heavy community almost no one knew until they showed up. No surprise there was maybe 50-100 people there. With better advertising for the event locally people would have showed up like crazy.
@b.s.fishing59023 ай бұрын
I've always wondered about that, asked a couple people on other platforms recently with no response. would make sense to do some kind of advertising in the neighboring towns and for sure at the boat ramps on the lake. A lot of people just assume that everyone with a boat follows the tournament trails, maybe in very small specific areas but I still don't think even on places like Guntersville that everyone follows the tours. Its kinda like golf...millions of people have clubs and golf occasionally but not a lot of them follow the Tour and know where its going from week to week.

Chris don't apologize for shit. He knew you had been fishing that spot, he had live going on his phone. He started cussing you, nobody has to sit there and be cussed. Anybody who says he should apologize and he is wrong, YOU are the problem. I've been tournament fishing for over 25 years, everything from local derby to Nations to bfls and even everstarts back in the day. The one thing I have never done is go to a lake where a big tournament is going on. If I was there practicing or looking around and even a club tournament was going on and I seen someone fishing ,I didn't go there. Maybe more people should get off the bent rod pattern and find your own shit. If one of the major organizations is fishing there, go to another lake that day but don't get in there way. That's how they make there living. I wouldn't let anyone cuss me like that and nobody else would either.He allowed his other buddy on the other side of the spot so all they was basically doing was trying to keep the pros off of it. There is to may people willing to jump on celebrities or pros telling them what they do is wrong but nit calling out the other ones. That's bullshit...local was in the wrong this time..sorry

I have long felt that any BASS affiliated club or trail, should not interfere with a tournament on a larger level like the Elites or a club tournament interfering with a state nation trail. The reason is two fold, BASS affiliated clubs or state trails (to my knowledge get their insurance through BASS) and as the organizations should be working toward getting people to the higher levels. Will that fix everything, it won't, but it might help to limit some of the problems. I have always steered clear if the pros are out there because the state trail or a club derby don't pay my bills. Further getting a chance to observe the pros fishing is a massive free lesson.

I mean I might have been decent as a pitcher when I was 12 but I'll never play at Wrigley. You guys are the best at what you do no doubt but you will always have the hotshot for that lake +15 more that think they are the pro for that lake and think they are better than you yet they couldn't compete with a full years schedule. Keep doing what your doing Chris and the Lord shall smile on you

Consider the fishermen like me who spend full price on all the same gear you have. Can only fish Saturday,Sunday. Then weather keeps me off the water some of those days. It seems like ever time I get to the launch some type of tournament is going on. You mentioned things going on in the fishing industry that may have affected you. Maybe that kid has stressed in his life right now.

Luke doesn't need to worry about running into Boyd on Guntersville because Boyd is always crappie fishing out there

Can we just already call a spade a spade and put all the dirt on Jacob Wheeler out there, this man is out there making bank and he is a great angler, but he cheated his way to the Fn top and all these kids and younger people idolize the man. Please will you guys just put the proof out there. I have already told the story about the guy I know that showed him all the waypoints when he won on Pickwick a few years back

It's not just Wheeler, it's rampant amongst the pros. There's no way a pro with only 3 days of practice finds the one spot on a 70,000 acre lake and smashes them. MLF came to my neck of the woods 3 years ago and I'm well known at the prime local tackle shop since I'm on the water every week. Sure enough I get contacted by a well known pro who would like to take me out to go fishing with him ... "hey I've heard from so and so that you're one of the big sticks around here and was wondering if you might be interested in going fishing with me while I'm here" ... yeah right. Even though I don't follow pro fishing I had a feeling it was well inside the "no info" period. What a surprise, I wasn't available to go ...

@@astrophysicistguy who was it? That's what I'm talking about, until these guys get ousted they're going to continue. The BPT just fines the guy 5k for an info violation and it's never disclosed

@@Mjones8383 the problem with me giving his name is that nothing illegal actually happened. I don't think the "off limits" period was in effect so he was allowed to be on the lake and since I didn't go with him nothing actually happened. Suspicious? Sure. But did an actual rules violation occur? I don't know. He just offered to take me fishing. Is that technically against the rules? My stance about tournament fishing is well known so I don't want to get caught up in any online controversy .

Great show. I really think that whole situation sucked but you're a different breed of jackazz if you get that mad at an elite angler fishing your lake and spots. Id geek out at the chance to watch them a bit. But if there is a local club tournament going on that im not fishing and a guy is rolling through where i am ill back off and let them fish it. I get out and practice as much as possible but i dont want to get in the way of someone in a tournament but dont be a jerk.

the problem is how you pulled in on top of the point - would of been better to pull in behind him and ask. what you did was wrong
