At around 6:45, the elevator fails and a massive hole opens, sending our heroes plummeting to the ground. Interestingly, it wasn't weight that caused the elevator to fail, as we know that it worked properly with five humans including Mr. Spike (around 1500 pounds, generously estimated), and then continued to work with four humans. We also know that elevators can usually carry up to 6000 pounds as a high measurement. Seeing that the floor itself broke, we can assume that the elevator probably failed due to some sort of bizarre anomaly, or a freak mechanical accident. Additionally, the fact that your mom wasn't on the elevator helps to support this hypothesis, as she is so incredibly heavy that her presence in the building, let alone the elevator, would cause the entire structure to come crashing down, killing everyone inside.

I absolutely adore this game mode. Everyone once and a while one of the set pieces pops up in my mind when it correlates to a topic. I wish it got a follow up. I'm glad to see it's still acknowledged though
