Had a bit of an audio faux pas with this recording. Sorry about that! The next episode will be a bit tighter on the audio side. Hope you enjoy!

The audio sounded fine and we could hear you clearly enough (or at least I could). Great episode once again.

Once again, another great episode. I'd also be interested in hearing a bit more about what goes into the decisions for how to approach development and what key linchpins are often used when deciding whether you're going with databased first or going with other tech first. As far as the Hologram Projection, I think the show was trying to show that the particular tech involved required you to stand in a specific location and not move or else the cameras used likely distorted how you looked (almost like a 360 camera setup) and because they were moving around they started looking wonky. I think the resolution was likely locked at a specific quality to keep things looking a specific way but this likely meant that they completely lost connection once network speeds were not capable of processing the higher quality video. Judging from the video call becoming pixelated and breaking up, it seems like they know what happens when a conference call has poor network. Basically, Gavin likely wanted to install it to flex on other people but the tech really wasn't very practical (especially given the poor network connection). As always, looking forward to future episodes.

Thanks for watching and enjoying it! There's so much that goes into the decision making side of tech that I think it does warrant its own video. I'll see what I can put together. As previously, I appreciate your perspective on the Telehuman tech Gavin was using. That's an angle (pardon the pun) that I hadn't considered specifically, but it does make sense. The rendering would require a mostly-fixed subject, but I instead lumped the distortion in with that connection issue. That would make a lot of sense, and totally fit in with Gavin's personality (that I've seen so far). Thanks for the comment on this one!
