Bro how do you stretch that ring finger for that chord !!! awesome tutorial man
@bruce_sings9 ай бұрын
It’s the same stretch as a regular C chord… the difference is that the middle finger is on the high e string. Glad it was helpful… post your cover man

Hey man, I remember your cover of Milk And Honey from a while back. I hope you're doing well. Just recently discovered Elliott Smith myself, and I really like his music. It has a sort of dreamy quality to it which does remind me of Nick Drake a bit.
@bruce_sings6 жыл бұрын
Kveldsmat thanks bro! Totally agree about the similarities between ES and ND. Check out ‘condor Avenue’ by ES, it’s a work of art. You gonna post any of your covers? :D

I've improved a lot since I first commented on your channel. Might link you my soundcloud if I decide to record something worth showing off.

@bruce_sings2 жыл бұрын
Standard tuning but down two steps
@CopperSucks Жыл бұрын
@@bruce_sings you mean a full step right? two full steps down would break the strings lol
@CopperSucks Жыл бұрын
Nvm that wouldn’t break em but Elliot normally plays a full step down no?
@steewad Жыл бұрын
@MrCopperwheels yea its a full step down, but when you try to play to the recording it sounds off, i think when he recorded it he mustve just tuned the guitar to itself somewhere close to a d standard and didnt actually use a tuner.
@bruce_sings7 ай бұрын
@@CopperSuckssorry yes one step or d standard.

I reckon he didn’t play these songs live very often or at all, because they are extremely difficult to play and sing. The man had so much talent, it’s a shame he didn’t live long enough to spoil us with more amazing songs.
@bruce_sings Жыл бұрын
They are tough, but he also suffered with stage fright and drug addiction. His condor avenue performance from 1997 is one of his best imo. I agree it’s a damn shame we don’t have recording of him playing this life (as far as I’m aware). The chord progressions/runs for this are *chefs kiss*
