"The flatness stimulates the intellect and the mountains stimulate the emotions." Completely captures my many Karoo experiences in one sentence. Loved this Going No Where Slowly. Loved the presenters and everything about the show. It will live forever in my heart and in my mind.

I don't know how to describe this. The Karoo is a difficult place to understand. Once you stand on those incredible vistas with absolute know interference from the artificial world, it's just you, the northern breeze, your thoughts and the thunderous silence. It makes you feel tiny but yet so alive. You want to stay there for ever, yet there is no way you can stay there. Truly incredible place.

I really enjoyed this short film. I am revisiting the Karoo very soon to escape the Canadian winter and cannot wait to sit on my stoep to watch the world go by. It is such a haunting place and appealing to eccentric/march to the beat of their own drum type of people. 'I love life tremendously....what is the alternative?' = Best quote ever!

Well your Karoo will soon undergo a major change... preparations to frack are underway. Much to the outrage of the locals. You might want to come back.
