Its because mingyu gave jeonghan a treasure(it was shown early on) they explained it there. the thing is if you happen to get a paper with a role for mafia there are additional notes like dpnt tell anyone and your treasure hunt ends here. If you ever see a treasure you cant open it anymore. Now early on the vid you can see how jeonghan said mingyu gave him a treasure (cause obv mingyu cant open it anymore since he has a role already.)

ok so, there are four roles : policeman, doctor, thief and mafia . hoshi is the thief, jeonghan the doctor and since seungkwan claimed he was the policeman it means the only role left was mafia. WE defo know mingyu 100% had a role because he gave one of those little box things to jeonghan and the rule was that if you already have a role then you cant use the gift, therefore since mingyu didn't take it he either has a role or was extremely generous (which we kno isn't the case in don't lie). the going editors showed this interaction before after jeonghan mentioned it which confirmed that. the viewers know hoshi was the thief but the members didn't meaning that to them mingyu was either the thief or the mafia. Hoshi realised that since he was the thief mingyu must be the mafia and that's why he was so sure. ik this is two months late but just wanted to explain

Great reaction! Honestly I was suspicious of Seungkwan the whole episode and I thought he was a mafia 100%. I never suspected that he'd be the policeman. That was a nice twist. As for the mafia predictions I'm 100% sure Wonwoo is one of the mafia. In episode 1 he found a paper and read it and DK kept saying that Wonwoo is suspicious because he read that paper for a long time so he definitely found something with a role. He must be one of the mafias. For the second mafia I'm more bullish on. At the moment I consider DK, Minghao and Scoups sus. DK because he kept following Wonwoo around after he saw he read the treasure he found for a long time and because he stopped looking. He was also very quiet in this round. Minghao because he was quiet ( althought he always is like Jun so it's hard to tell) and that weird thing he did when he suddenly started running and Scoups for also being very quiet and lowkey . DK and then Scoups are my strongest guesses at the momoment.

basically mingyu helped jeonghan find a paper, which made him suspicious of mingyu because he wouldn't just let him have that unless he already found a role. him not taking that paper for himself basically confirmed he had a role. and i would assume jeonghan didnt actually look at the paper and put it back later or something because he's not allowed to find more

I think when Mingyu showed Jeonghan the treasure, Im not sure if it was the one Jeonghan found his role as doctor in but Mingyu wouldn't have know anyways. But Mingyu had his role and was not allowed to open any other ones and just told Jeonghan that there was a treasure at that tree. I think that Wonwoo is sus he was not really looking for anything and he feels kinda off to me, and DK he looks like he is acting I don't know why but I look at him and the only thing I can think about is that he is acting. We did not see much of Coups during the first episode treasure hunting that's also a but weird but I'm not sure about him. In the end Seventeen are all professional con men and we can not really predict what their actions are. xD
