*GOING SOON* First Leicester' Wright StreetDeck, 35184 (SK16 GVE) - Service 54

Here I'am again with another First based video, due to the changes happening in the First Leicester fleet I decided to try and attempt to go get more of the stuff in the fleet that is due to leave soon and that includes the Streetdecks which are slowly soon to be replaced by brand new Electroliners supposedly due at the beginning of 2024
You join me on Streetdeck 35184 serving the 54 service to Beaumont Leys, the same area where I filmed 35174 last month, 35184 is supposedly due to transfer soon to Bristol as it's confirmed the SN65s are all off to Worcestershire with the SK16s going off to either Bristol or Sheffield which isn't a bummer for me as I despise these for replacing my childhood KP51s but we all know that by now so I'll stop ranting about that
Although I don't like Streetdecks 35184 is probably the best in the batch with not much rattling occuring nor having any faults like I had to deal with 35174 doing, it's the first time having this one since new and it actually wasn't bad for a Streetdeck

Unlike most people, I actually really like the Streetdecks, especially the 3517x's. They may not be the best buses in the world but they were great on the 22 and did their job well for the most part.

This one is staying until electrics come.. The 65 plates (except 35151) are off to Worcester.. then 35151, 35168-79 are off to Bristol. It leaves 35180-92 in Leicester alongside the E400’s until electrics replace them all.. Then 2-4 E400’s will remain as a backup and for Amazon service (both of which are still running despite bus times showing otherwise).

Honna miss the streetdecks tbh. They were comfortable to sit in, they only lacked usb ports

The only thing I’ll miss about these is the interior. I know I’m in a minority but I’ve always liked this colour scheme. I can’t say I like the new one much.

I also like their interior, just the pink handlebars makes them stand out well, the Streetkite ones are a bit bland not gonna lie but some are slowly getting an interior branding inside.
