I love the re-usable cotton rounds with the blue top micellar water (it's a little more oily to help really get off the makeup easier)! Black cotton rounds for when I'm removing makeup, then white cotton rounds for when it's the end of the day and I'm just taking off my sunscreen/the day.

I made a morning routine for my planner which includes fiber, collagen, vit c, stretching, and a few other personal things. I use Loreal day cream in the white square jar with the red cap. It's very good and not greasy at all. 😊 Helps alot to moisten your face throughout the day with one small application. I, too, scrape every bit out of the jar. 😊

It’s interesting that we talk about getting rid of excess at the start of the new year as I just helped my mom clear go through, organize and identify what things she has in her hoard of a garage/basement. It has been a very frustrating process for me as I can’t believe she has so many things but for her I can tell it was overwhelming because it’s a reflection of what she’s gathered over her time making multiple houses homes over the past 30 years. Also she keeps some of my grandmothers things who has passed years ago but she can’t seem to let go of fully of has plans to give to different people but idk how well she will be following through with. So in all, just sending my empathy to those who want to let go of materials this year or to those who have to help our loved ones come to the realization they need to let go. It’s for sure a process but the best thing we can do is support them as they go through the motions of dealing with the reality of their situation❤

It really does make a difference to have a clean and decluttered space! It’s amazing what a difference it makes to the mind. We just donated tons of blankets and bedding to our veterinarian and other pet rescue organizations, as they will need during this cold winter.

I'm so glad you mentioned mixing products! A guy I went to high school with, unfortunately suffered from severe acne. Back in the 80s, He mixed (I want to say it was) noxema and sea breeze together and really burned his face pretty badly. Then he had chemical burn scars on top of his acne. I have been so careful since then to never mix products on my face.

Since they broke into my private storage which I was paying for a reputable company, while I was transitioning from area to area. They stole half of my things and valuable things with actual value but sentimental value as well. This made me understand how somebody feels when losing their home from a bushfire or even an earthquake. Now I am working on reducing what I have left and consuming things for my work. Our time is limited and we don't need this kind of stress. Consumerism is bad and nostalgia is one of the reasons we consume, as I did from collectables to branded clothing. Not sure how this video came up, but it has less than a month since this happened to me and I am still looking for some inspiration to move forward, probably thats why. Thank you :)

I usually use the Garnier micellar water with the bright pink cap and reusable cotton rounds like you have on minimal makeup days. I love using a makeup removing balm for a full face bc I find it to be gentler on my face/eye area and removes my makeup better. The farmacy one is really really good but is definitely pricy

Hi Jeannie, strangely enough, I was on the verge of a no/low buy, (except necessities)and then I watched the documentary Buy Now on Netflix, and now Ive been seeing your videos on downshifting, and honestly, Im in. Im only buying things to replace used/completed product, or if it's something I have needed for my new home 2 years ago, and if I decided after all this time my attemps to go without are not it.. THEN i buy something. for example, I have stairs in the new home to my second floor. Never had stairs in the 3 previous homes I owned. 14 year old Dyson is a heavy canister. Dust buster finally kicked it a year and a half ago. Ive been struggling to clean my stairs for almost 2 years. I had enough. finally bought a cordless vacuum that also works as a hand vacuum. that was a need. I bought it. Oh but all the things I WANTED but didnt buy from the tiktok shop :) thanks for this Jeannie. Im almost 50, homeowner for 20 years. When I tell people I dont NEED anything, I pretty much mean it!

Clothes, suits, jackets and everything just sits there taking up massive space on the women’s side of the his and her massive walk-in closets. In fact he takes up BOTH CLOSETS!! I have to use a small closet in the spare bedroom for all of my stuff! 😳😣

@ NOPE HE WOULD TOTALLY KNOW!! I have to admit people who are like that have always bothered me in a negative way. I have made so many comments to him too, but he doesn’t care, nor even listens to anything I have to say! Like once a year he’ll say that he’s going to go thru all his shirts and such…… I’m always just left speechless, as he will have a pile of literally no more than 2 shirts that he’s pulled out to get rid of! Just like all his paperwork & crap in a gazillion different boxes and filing cabinets out in the garage! He’s like a mini hoarder just like his mom was before moving her into a facility! It’s almost like in his mind he bought it, so there’s no way he’s just gonna give it away, which is really a sad way too live your life….at least in my opinion it is!😣

This year (starting last year maybe around after July?) I decided I was not going to try dating. Apps are horrible and unforgiving. I have found that crafts, sewing and using up things I have is a better way to spend my time. I have too much stuff and I know I can make things out of my fabric.
