what your really supposed to do for a beginner is go for a lr evo and only focus on it and don't care about anything else, the best decision for new players trust me.

Tip: Get Fujitora (He Is a super good support unit and You can use him at the start of almost every orb farm to slow down enemies then You can place 2 with slow and 1 with Cosmic and support the team during the farm alongside power reaper and Dfl)

Honest for metal farm, get magechild evo or Yuta (if you can) for starter, they are both viable even later on in some stages

I started another account since I pretty much screwed up. This actually helped me. Although, would changing Yata be good? He's kind of hard to evo at first, would a team of: Rudeus, Dave, Unohana, Peem/Noelle, Denis work?

That works but for yata you don’t need to evo him since he’s only there for nezuko
