i was struggling so much i got frustrated at playing the game, there's no skip when you replay this after getting beat. so i had to sit and wait to try again and again. by my 3rd try, i found this video and after trying to memorize the fight i still lost. so on my 5th try, i went on my computer to watch the video and pause after each turn. (i was playing on my phone and tabbing over to the youtube app to see the next sequence) and after pausing, unpausing and doing everything you did i beat him. For a game, they really went dark souls with the tutorial level. FFS!!

Sucks hella that tutorial character gets so specific to defeat. Still very thankful you gave us a Victory solution to him because yes that's the only way through after everything that anyone can try to do it. And it's even pretty shitty that newbies have to see AND due this tutorial to progress anywhere else.

I will definetly look into the cause of that. Usually creatures don''t stack unless they are generic tokens like goblins, treasures, and elf warriors.

this battle would be better if we can deside what we wanted to do like id keep the take vengeance card saving it for the 4 attack that kills you if you chose badly id normally block the dragon there is no rule that if you block 2 out of 3 that 1 last goes through if there is id rather take 1 and save the spell for later and its stupid to throw away a land when you can keep it in your hand its a random throw away there is no rule to keep cards a few turns ahead this battle says you must have no cards in your hand almost the entire bettle which is what id never do while bolas gets to have 7 extra cards this battle would be better to let us turn off the Tutorial you have to watch this guys video to win otherwise your screwed hard not fair

what i did to win was hit the pass when it comes up to take some hit save 2 shields to keep your angels alive buff them up and attack when the Tutorial lets you and BOOM! it lets you choose what to do when he has no cards on his last attack by that time i didnt know and lost 3 times which letting you battle alone is better then letting us battle at his last attack like i said hit pass when it comes up take a hit keep both angels buff them both up he had -4 when i was done.

Ok reading this was hard on my brain for a bit. Grammar should be used to make sure no one has an aneurysm. I digress though. However you beat him works as well as my solution. I didn't play this multiple times to see what other options there were, but initially as a guide for my gf as she was struggling. I have been playing arena since the Ravnica Return sets so I didn't have to go through and was confused by what she was talking about at first. I have been off and on of MTG over the pass 15 years and been on straight the pass 5 with on both paper and arena playing different formats. As for the land comment, do whatever you do with your cards and I'll do me. That's what I've been doing for years.

Lol I bought this to do the tutorial to play with my brother in law. Never played MTG before him and this game is ass. The tutorial doesn't teach you anything. It's just like "play this card, play that card." and you just win, without telling you how or why. Then when you get to this nicol bolas fight where you actually have semi free choice I had no idea wtf I was doing. Watching a guide and copying your movements isn't a fun game. Is there anywhere to learn about the game that's not overwhelming. Because when I google stuff I get so much jargon thrown at me I can't keep track of it all. I appreciate the video but this game (MTG Arena, not MTG itself) is ass.

I'd love to be of any help and you have honestly given me a new idea of where to take the channel. A series on how to play the game without the use of jargon sounds like a fun idea. Obviously you will need to know basic terms like sorcery, creature, land, etc., or the card types. But like, summoning sickness, or, the stack, can be a little confusing when thrown at you all at once. I'd love to see what I can come up with in the future and I hope you stay tuned to see if you are satisfied with the end result.

'Angelic Reward' decision @ 6:23 or blocking at 6:40 were the only 2 "confusing" spots I'd noticed as I watched the video again. Tips for watching any tutorial video: Be patient. You have the power the watch the video again if you don't fully understand what the creator is trying to get across. Don't assume. The creator of the tutorial more than likely knows more on the subject than the viewer! Do not predict what will happen next. @chaosvtubing
