Rogue puts out a pretty decent one....only 50 bucks....its playable ..and when you decide if you want to continue ...then buy a good one. I bought one but I just couldnt get the hang of the tuning.....Everything is backwards...like playing a lefty strat right handed

Without doubt, the finest mando player in Ireland is a bloke called Sean Gill, from Midleton, Co. Cork, closely followed by Ray Barron, who plays with Cork legend, Hank Wedel.

I thought this was a guitar part for years, because I play a 12 string and thought that twinkly part was on a 12. Tried and tried to plat this on the 12 string. I made more progress in an hour with this lesson than I did in 20 years on the 12 string. Damn man I really thought this was a 12 string for too many years.

I'm not a mandolin player, but this took an hour. You can see it's not very complicated, pretty much the same patterns over and over. This one and Battle of Evermore are probably the first songs a mandolin player learns. :)
