Me and my family were looking for a puppy, I wanted a border collie and my parents were thinking of buying one, but they were so expensive One day they went to the supermarket, but on their way they went to the puppy fair, we found a mixed raced doggy (well actually they didn’t know her race) 3 days before she and her siblings were thrown in a hole and left to die, but they rescued her And we adopted one of them I took a photo of her, and I find out she is a toller 🥰 or mixed with a toller She is so adorable! We are thinking of naming her Therese or Toffee

Whiskey is absolutely gorgeous! I'm curious how does she get along with cats? Does she chase them or do they co-exist? I'm thinking of getting a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever but I'm worried about my 3 cats. Is there any advice you could give?

like most retrievers, duck tollers are generally pretty good with cats from what i've heard. i think the only thing you'd have to worry about is slowly introducing the dog to your three cats. tollers are very high energy, but i don't believe they have a high prey drive for cats. they're probably more interested in making friends :)

Did this breeder let you see the parents?? Did she do ALL of the prerequisite tests on her to make sure she is healthy and has no typical diseases of Trollers? I wonder cause you met them in some park. Puppy is adorable though! You have a good future with her.

Yes! Our breeder was amazing, she drove half way to meet us to deliver puppies to her puppy parents herself and we met at a park to pick up our puppy from her. 💕 We had been to her house several times to see the parents and puppies as well

If you puppy was one of the smaller ones then it might have had to fight for it's spot to get milk for the bitch. It's not guaranteed to happen but in some dogs this can lead to them being protective when eating food from it's bowl as they get older so it's worth hand feeding them to start of with and while it's young occasionally taking away it's bowl of food when eating and then giving it back short afterwards so dog learns it can trust you.

I can't believe there are still people who buy a puppy in a parking lot. This obviously screams puppy multipliers or puppy mafia. This is how you keep this bad business going. These dogs are mostly sick, not socialized, and therefore the future problem dogs.

This isn’t a random person selling puppies in a parking lot lol I am sure Amber was on the waitlist with this breeder for YEARS. This is “Gotcha Day” where all of the owners of the puppies, who (again) have done extensive research, been interviewed and in contact with the breeder every week for a very long time…. come to finally pick up their puppy. As Amber said above the breeder wanted to meet in the middle of a few new families so she didn’t have to fly the puppies…. that is why she is in a parking lot. It honestly takes years to find a reputable Toller breeder.
