We did the same thing on Saturday, went to Tallebudgera ... dude brought his tiny lab puppy past us, Juliet lost ALL her brains and wouldn't recall (I did have her on a 15m lead though in case that happened, long enough for her to get plenty wet, and I stay dry) my dogs were floating off to Indonesia when they saw the puppy, and didn't they haul it back in, and when 35kg of GSD gets a 15m running head start, there's not much you're doing with that lead except letting go, or going splat on the ground .... I went splat ... then decided we could go home ... we'd been there a few hours and now I was all kinds of sore ... I hit the hard sand, no the soft stuff, so it took me a moment to get my breath back ....but once I did, we were headed home ... Now I'm covered in bruises and I have a broken finger (well I broke the knuckle actually - tolda ya I did let go LOL), and I've gotta go get a stick test, although I probably got bit by some glass bottle, I'm still doing the test - when did beach's get so dangerous?
