The birds were Crested Pigeon (also known as Topknot Pigeon). The Pink Lakes here in Oz are believed to be Pink because of an alge that lives in the salt water lakes.

What a lovely vlog Joe. Your drone footage was fabulous. Even an Aussie like me enjoy the Australian vlogs especially the top end of WA as not all of us have been there. I stayed at Kalbarri as a 12 year back in the 80's when it was a dinky little seaside town so I am looking forward to seeing how much its changed. The gorge is breathtakingly gorgeous xx
