Dr. McBride here...There is a skin disorder that is often mistaken for ringworm...It's called Granuloma annulare... It has several sub-categories where the rings look a bit different, some even rashy...If the meds they gave you don't work go see a dermatologist... :)

I was misdiagnosed with ringworm and it ended up being PITYRIASIS ROSEA My body was covered in what looked like ringworm and I had cold symptoms as well. A while ago I had a big circle on my leg that we thought was ringworm... turns out it wasnt and I probably wasted a month or two doing ringworm treatments. With the right medication it went away super quickly. Its always good to get a second opinion!

This! I have GA on my thighs and stomach. The biggest is the size of my palm and the smallest is about the size of a quarter. It started with one spot and has become 9 after several years. My dermatologist did testing by taking some of the skin from the circles. You can try to fade the circles with steroid shots, but typically it’s just something you have to deal with. There is no official treatment.

Girl!! You don’t have ring worm, you have Pityriasis rosea, I have this too. It’s not contagious. It will go away in a couple months or less and possibly come back every so often. Hope this helps. They can also do a test on the mark.

Faith VanVleet I’m not arguing with you. Legs pumps are regulated to “massage” clots. They’re not the same as an arm cuff that can be pumped too high in too close of a time period which is why in school it’s recommended you use another arm to retake a blood pressure if you didn’t get an accurate reading. But what do I know I’ve only been taking care of people for years. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Mini Cameron Tayla a little bit of air bubbles through a syringe or IV won’t kill you Or even hurt you. You would need about 2-3ml of air pushed through a central IV line (that’s an IV that gets inserted into a larger vein typically close to the heart & commonly for repeated use over a period of time) without any other medication to put you in any severe harm. A small IV line that’s inserted into smaller veins (called a Peripheral IV - this is the type of IV that’s most commonly thought of when someone thinks of an IV) would need about 100ml of air to do any harm. Tiny bubbles dissolve quickly throughout the bloodstream once they’re pushed through the IV, nurses often won’t even worry about them if some happen to get by after the IV has been cleared of any bubbles. It’s a misconception that just any air bubble will instantly kill you :) Hopefully that makes you feel a little better!

No that is not true at all you can get blood pressure taken on the same arm in the same spot. I go to dialysis 3 times a week for 4 hours and my blood pressure gets checked every 30 minutes during the treatment. For those of you who don't know what dialysis is it's a treatment that you have to do to stay alive when your kidneys fail.
