Yr same did in thailand but it looks so much better than that. First of all helmets were in bad condition and water color was not so clear. Also there was limited area to go nothing just watch fishes and comeback.

It's simple they start blowing air in side the helmet then put it on your head the helmet is sealed but open at shoulders so BC air presence water can't travel upwards but redundant air came out from bottom.
