My grandparents are Newfie’s, I’m from Washington state. They used to come down all the time before my grandfather passed in 2015. He’s buried in Spaniards Bay. I remember they would have full on conversations in their slang and I would have NO idea what they were saying. Miss my grandmother, once this virus dies down, I’m flying home to get screeched in!

Only in recent years has Newfoundland really been making a big push in the tourism industry. We see commercials for it all the time and so a chance to FINALLY go as a Canadian was a big deal. Now I can see why people say it's such an amazing province.

We've technically followed your steps a few weeks ago and in 4 days we were able to confirm all your sharing about places to visit, eat and sightsee. Can't thank you enough for sharing such a valuable information as we had quite a short long weekend escape and the fact that we were able to plan everything allowed us to travel over 1000km and take some stunning and breath taking photos. The only thing I can add for anyone willing to join Newfoundland is to do so (if possible) in the end of June/ beginning of July as that would guarantee the visitors that they will literally see the little cutie creatures (famous Canadian Puffins) to crawl around their feet in Bonavista. We already plan our next trip but would love to drive from Quebec to Labrador and join St-John again to see all our new friends we've made and taste again the famous locally crafted iceberg beer ;)

@skipper41146 жыл бұрын
Nice video Will. As someone from there and who was in the tourism business for 14 years I hope you get a chance to see more of Newfoundland. Most will say that there is St John's and Newfoundland as St John's doesn't really represent true Newfoundland and I will agree to that. Top places to see while there are St John's ( City life), Gros Morne national park ( Mountains and fjords), Trinity/ Bonavista ( Fishing culture, museums etc) and Twillingate (whales, Icebergs, FIshing culture, museums) my favourite.If you ever go back let me know. Cheers

Thanks for watching!! Yes I know, I really wish we had more time in Newfoundland & Labrador and got to venture out from our radius of what we could do from St. John's. Was definitely impressed we got to go as far as Bonavista as a lot of people said it couldn't be done. Will definitely be travelling back at some point and when I do I'll be giving you a shout :)

Harbour Grace - historic fishing village (and Amelia airheart stoped there during one of her flights!) Fogo Island- just doing a Google image search will make you wanna come back Terra Nova Nature Park Gander - museums, the town in the musical Come From Away L'anse Aux Meadows - viking settlement Gros Morne Nature Park - some of the most picturesque hiking trails around! Glad you enjoyed your first trip!
