@-samart2004-
@-samart2004- 2 жыл бұрын
while yeah it's not just an enlarged white shark, it's still depicted inaccurately in this video. It was still a lamnid, which is the group that includes sharks like White sharks, Mako sharks, Porbeagle sharks, Salmon sharks, etc. Otodus megalodon should still at least retain that basic body shape, and not something like what was shown in this video. The blunt snout, tiny fins, and overly chunky body do not fit lamnid body plans at all

Do note that most of the larger Cenozoic sharks reached such sizes IN SPITE OF cetacean competition (cetacean competition, especially in the role of apex predator, was actually much more stiff from the Late Eocene to the start of the Pliocene than it is now); they didn’t get big because cetaceans hadn’t overthrown them yet, they got big because they were able to successfully compete with cetaceans.

7:38 the cretoxyrhina is roughly as large as deep blue, the *largest* white shark, although the cretoxyrhina can get even larger. 8:00 can get up to 54 feet in length, and 44,000 lbs. 8:55, 10m isn’t even average size, it more around 12 meters, but they can reach 64+ feet, and 101,000 lbs, it’s the second largest shark, and nigh top 5 in terms of large fish. Otodus megalodon at 9:10 is not the median estimate for the megalodon, conservatively placed at 60-75 feet, some estimates even claim it to be 82 feet, around 25 meters, it’s the largest predatory animal in history aside from maybe the shonasuarus, it outweighs almost all species except the blue whale, at 227,000 lbs.

Goji Center you make so good videos full of knowledge about monsters and this types of creatures from movies that I love. Could you make BATTLE FACE OFF with Godzilla and Mega-Kaiju from Pacific Rim Uprising? If you don't choose this one I will be okay. have a nice day
