Gojira - Flying Whales - drum cover

So happy to finally upload this one. I recorded it about two weeks ago. Flying Whales is one of my favorite songs from Gojira. Everything in this song is simply legendary I don't know how to describe it otherwise. There will be more from that album "From Mars To Sirius"
Mario Duplantier is just so sick. He just released a short clip on his Instagram of him playing this live... If you think I'm a hard hitter think again hahahaha
I hope you'll enjoy this one. A lot of work has been put in this video. I had to do it all over again because I screwed something up in the first version. I'm very proud of this one though. Have a nice day !

Thank you so much I'm glad you liked the video. The number of takes depends. I did a lot of my youtube videos on the first take. It takes usually 3 to 4 takes and sometimes a bit more. For this song I had to do it all over again because I was disappointed with one of the parts I played. To learn a song like this it takes a couple of hours. Flying Whales is a bit longer than most songs but I've been listening to it years before recording it. So I already knew the song more or less. A better example is "Born for one thing". I learned that the day after it came out. Took me about 5 hours total I think.
