Just wondering, are you playing with a click? For me, getting the timing right on this song is very difficult without a metronome.

Hey dude, thanks for reaching out! Yes, I’m playing with a click track. This song is much harder than it seems. Musicians naturally have tempo fluctuations; even with a click, you won’t play perfectly on the grid. With practice, you can get very close. The most important thing for a clean sound is to ensure the spacing between the notes is as even as possible... I quantized and edited the drums afterward. Initially, I practiced the song parts separately at a very slow tempo with the metronome. As I got more comfortable, I gradually increased the speed until I could play the song at its original tempo. That's what I recommend you try. I hope it helps dude. Cheers!
