O pior que várias outras bandas estão mudando bastante a sonoridade tb, Mastodon era outra pesada e o som foi ficando leve, tanto que Emperor of Sand tá esquecido ao meu ver... Muitos considerariam um backlash, eu pessoalmente gostei no caso do Gojira e aparentemente a mídia tá amando também, então é bem pessoal

Trust me, this album is going to be one of the greatest metal albums of the last 20 years. It already has a unique and haunting atmosphere and spirituality. I bet that listening to all Fortitude in once will be such an intense experience. If you don't like these songs only because they are "not heavy" well, you deserve to listen to 0-0-0-0-0-0-0 drop A songs for the rest of your life.

The people calling out the new stuff as not heavy don't know the difference between heavy and melodic. Those two elements do not inherently cancel one another out. The new stuff is still heavy however it's not as consistently harsh, intense, or fast. Their newest stuff is more melodic than their early stuff clearly but anyone who is shocked by the transition hasn't really been paying attention to the bands discography. Anyone who says this doesn't sound like the same band never paid attention to what the band actually sounds like.

@@SevObzen of course this album is not as heavy as From Mars to Sirius or as brutal as The Way of All Flesh, but the people who say Fortitude sounds weak really don't know what they are talking about. I couldn't think of anything more intense than this album: the concept, the meaning, the passion, the message, the atmosphere, the anger, the hope. I bet that listening to Fortitude all in once will be for sure a moving experience.

Sorry dudes. The chant is almost exactly like their other song the shooting star. I have been listening to all the new single drops hoping one of them will be their redemption song. At least one that will make me want to buy the album. But I keep getting disappointed with each song they release. Gojira is my favorite band and alot of the music i play with my band is heavily influenced by them. But this new album so far is turning out to be a steaming pile of 💩

Avalokitesvara there on the wall... the 1000 white bodhisattva of compassion. The color is supposed to be perceived as “clear” or “absent” so that we may see ourselves therein. The bodhisattva that refuses to ascend/go to heaven but returns to earth to continuously share the four immeasurables... Loving-kindness, Compassion, Appreciative Joy and Equanimity. Thank you Gojira for the deep symbolism.
