​@@vintageman136 That was about the kidnapping. Do you remember that Kuroi was full alert but she lost consciousness and kidnapped? Because Toji did that. No way she can notice. After that Toji told the manager to kill her, but he didn't. Because he thought "rescuing her" was more convenient for their plan. After that he handed her over to star religious group, then they went Okinawa and had Gojo to rescue her, then continue to the beach episode. So before beginning of this episode, it's highly likely that she was killed by Toji (Toji said if she's lucky she's still alive tho)

Toji is my favorite character hands down, I don't care what nobody says. This is how the human brain works with stories for most people, story starts with some nice characters showing that gojo is a kind and caring teacher whos super strong, but what if the story started with Toji would you feel level of hostility againts toji no y'all wouldn't because your brain already painted him as the hot bad guy who kills people for money, but once you see his backstory a little(about megumi) you kinda feel sorry for him, that's what demon slayer does too they make you understand why they did it, makes you understand why their like that, Geto is a big example, in the movie most people didn't like this dude, now everybody likes all of a sudden, Why? Because we are seeing why he's slowly seeing non-sorecerers as dead weight, pieces of shits, animals. I love your reactions by the way❤, keep up the good work.

Gojo has been showing questionable morals since ep1, it may have been him along planting seeds in Geto who has a strong sense of justice unknowingly + after this encounter with Toji... he's tipping towards the dark side. Gojo being on the RED side turning his negative thoughts about killing innocents, thanks to Geto... And Geto on the BLUE side slowing adopting (attracting) negative energy from Gojo and the reality of how corrupt people manipulate the system in their favour.

Honestly i didnt think we'd see him doing it this early in his career. AWESOME REACTION and discussion. Here’s some clarifications: 1) Those people clapping in the end are not clapping for Gojo and Geto. In fact it’s insulting, they are clapping because Riko is dead. They are rejoicing because Riko is dead, Tengen(their god) will not be assimilating the vessel and may evolve further. 2) The creepy female scissor-using curse is not Tengen doing. The curse is Kuchisake-Onna. She was unleashed by Geto and is one of Geto's stronger curses. 3) When Geto tried to absorb the worm slug inventory curse during the fight. Geto didn’t know back then but it failed because the Worm had formed a ‘contract of sorts’ with Toji, making Toji the master. To absorb the worm, you got to kill the master first. In the end, Geto acquired the worm curse. You can see it in Jujutsu Kaisen 0. This is also the reason why in 0, Geto said to obtain the Rika Curse, he has to kill Yuta first. 4) While it is true Toji got defeated by Gojo in the 2nd fight. Toji remarked that he can handle Blue and Red. The ‘something off’ that he wasn’t aware and couldn’t handle was Purple. In the first fight, Toji would have won flawlessly. But he deliberately do some really roundabout thing than truly killing Gojo. Perhaps Pride? For example, Toji was already slashing Gojo all around using the Reverse Spear of Heaven but yet when it comes to the finishing head stab Toji swapped out to a random weapon. Instead if it was the Reverse Spear of Heaven, it would have nullified whatever Gojo was trying and Gojo would be dead. So Gojo was really lucky there. This was remarked by Gojo, he said: You did not use the Cursed Tool Reverse Spear of Heaven to stab or chop off my head.(because the Reverse Spear of Heaven would have nullify whatever Gojo was trying) If you read into it, this was the whole turning point. Because Gojo was stabbed in the head with some other random weapon, Gojo could use Reverse Cursed Technique and recover. No reverse cursed technique to heal = Gojo would be dead and no rematch. Also = no mastering of Red = with no unlocking of Purple 5) Toji referred to himself when he said: “I thought you had already decided to set away such petty pride.” Usually Toji will not fight for free and escape instead of continuing the fight. But in this case Toji didn’t, he continued to confront Gojo for self-affirmation wanting to be the one to defeat Gojo who is the pinnacle of sorcerer world and to repudiate the Zenin clan who rejected him. Megumi mum is not a Zenin. Toji was from the Zenin Clan. Toji said I took my wife name a few episodes ago. Toji specified in this episode, he was rejected by the Zenin because he has no curse energy. Toji loved his wife deeply and she was a good woman but she died awhile back. 6) The name Megumi (惠) means blessings, so when Toji talked about blessings, he was like ‘oh wait, that’s my kid’s name’. 7) He sold his son to the Zenin family not because to get out of the clan. Toji was already originally rejected by the Zenin for having no curse energy. He sold his son back to the Zenin, because he believed in young Megumi's potential to be a real sorcerer and named him "Megumi" for it means blessings. His last words was entrusting Gojo to save his son. 8) Megumi means Blessing. In short, in a symbolic way you can take it as in this encounter Gojo received Toji’s Blessing and Geto received Toji’s Curse. It’s tragic honestly for Geto… Both Gojo and Geto changed. Gojo as we see from the start, he is a prick. He disliked the weak, in his high he even thought of slaughtering everyone of the cult in there. Geto was always the sane, caring and humble. He advocated for the weak. While traumatised, Geto held on to his belief and did not break yet. He was the voice of reason that convinced Gojo from not killing everyone in there. However basically Toji incident spark the beginning of the switch between them. Read the line when Toji spoke when he kick Geto. HINT: MONKEY Toji gave Geto Monkey PTSD. 🙊

Gojo's proclamation of "Throughout Heaven and Earth, I alone am the Honored One" was a throwback to S1 Ep.13 as well: When Sukuna cut down Mahito, Nanamin's JP narration actually said the very same line Gojo had in this episode (天上天下唯我独尊) meaning "There is no one in this world more proud and conceited." could also be translated as "Throughout Heaven and Earth, He alone is the Honored One.", basically foreshadowing potential conflict between Gojo and Sukuna.

Any Father who neglects their role to be there for their child, let alone not remembering their child's name, is a shitty person. But after this episode, from what I took, he may have not trusted himself to be a good enough Father to raise Megumi hence selling him away. I don't know what happened to the Mother but I presume she died.. which after the fact, may have further drove this action. So he's abit less shitty of a person after this episode, just bad upbringing and circumstances shaped him out to be a cruel individual, but him thinking of Megumi in his dying moments and indirectly asking Gojo to take care of him was redeeming for me.

Broken man ? He single handedly gave gojo his worst day. Broke his friend. Killed riko. Killed satoru himself. And yet after all this satoru raised megumi like his own son. Toji died cuz he was egotistical. He wanted to prove zenin that he beat the strongest sorcerer. Toji could easily solo the entire zenin clan but he chose not to. Unlike maki who despises the clan which mistreated her and she would fight them anyday if she was half as strong as toji. ( without manga im talking bout). There are many reasons to hate toji than to like him so it makes complete sense why she hates him.

The potential apparition used by geto had a domain, the reasoning behind using the word simple is kind of confusing, some cursed tecniques require a barrier to activate, we see more people who definitely need to expand a domain to activate a technique, when toji breaks the domain we see black shards which is created by domain expansions not simple domains, but yeah its one of many that requires barrier to activate technique

Nah there’s actually a lot of female reactors I saw that like him after this episode because they realized he cared a lot about megumi and told gojo about him. Most of them hated him at episode 3 but changed up at 4 since they saw his abilities and how he thought of megumi a lot. Some of them loved his villain role too like auto save and dos cavazos

To answer to your last bit, that last scene is actually the one part I didn't like about the anime adaptation. I think the manga manages to convey Gojo's real despair, overwhelmed both by failling to protect Riko and the reaction of the common religion followers. To me at least, it's clear that at that point he is down from his high and truly regrets Riko's death at the same time he is confronted with the glee the religious group feels. Sadly, the anime has gone more for the neutral "I'm feeling nothing" expression, which is a valid interpretation, but not the most... impactful one considering the manga. Especially given what happens later on, which I shan't spoil.
