Great recreation of the final battle of the tournament of power arc of dragon ball super. the only thing that can top it is the goku vs. jiren round 2 fight during which is the scene where long time fans of dragon ball would feel nostalgia at seeing a homage to dragon ball as a whole.

what part of that was any bit nostalgic?! they reused a lot of scenes over and over, and copied art styles from other anime like yugioh (when MUI goku revenge punched jiren for attacking his friends outside the ring...his eyes)

It was nostalgic because while Goku's friends explain to belmod the reason why he does what he does you see key moments throughout Dragon Ball as a whole and those who have watched both Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z in their entirety would feel nostalgic seeing those moments again even for a moment and maybe get inspiration to go back and watch them again to fully recapture the moments as they happen. Hell the epilogue scene of the final episode of Dragon Ball Super is a homage to Dragon Ball Z to tell the fans thank you so much for watching the franchise up to this point and we hope you continue watching and supporting the series.
