Hey man I want your opinion on something. We both believe Grade 4 is just Grade 1 but without the massive stamina issues. We both believe it's a 50x base multiplier. So my question is do you think Grade 1 is to Grade 4 as Grade 2 is to Grade 5? Basically do you think ssj2 and Grade 2 are the same only one is basically the better stamina controlled one? Edit: I ask because both Grade 2 and Grade 5 are both called "beyond SSJ".

It's certainly possible, but I find it unlikely. You mean SS2 by grade 5 right? I don't think Grade 2 was ever implied to have increased the user's speed, while SS2 is probably an all around. Also, that would be like saying Grade 3 is equivalent to SS3, which was a strong enough form to be felt all the way from the Kaioshin realm. So I think the difference is more than just the better stamina. Not in terms of power, but in terms of concept though, I think you might be on to something here. Adding on to what you said about Grade 2 & SS2 being similar, there's also the fact that Grade 3 was apparently stated to be a 10x boost in the El Manga Legendario, and SS3 also has that whole sequence with Goku's Oozaru form in the Anime.

@DBZMacky yes I mean conceptually are Grade 2 and ssj2 (grade 5) the same thing? Daizenshuu and Perfect Files both say Grade 2 Increases speed. Grade 2 is actually identified as going beyond ssj, which is what grade 5 actually is. In Super during Trunks flashback to Cell Saga, Vegeta calls it a power that transcends SSJ. I interpet the El Manga Legendario 10x thing to mean Grade 3 Trunks (post RoSaT) is 10x grade 1 trunks (pre RoSaT). The tv anime comic makes it clear Ssj2 is the strongest, but could just be referring to Gohan being the strongest one at the time. El Manga Legendario also says Vegeta could never attain Grade 4, and theorized that he could do Grade 3. Daizenshuu says Goku and Vegeta achieved ssj2 through training, which would correlate to ssj2 being Grade 2 just better balanced. Vegeta lost to Cell because he ran out of stamina, Gohan did not run out of stamina, but was actually to use the form after powering down from it. El Manga Legendario compares Gohans ssj2 form to Vegetas Grade 2 form, saying the muscles did not swell as much. Daizenshuu also says that Gohan, Gotenks, Goku, and Vegeta have SSJ2, but not Trunks. This would indicate Grade 2 and Ssj2 are different forms, but the Daizenshuu also does not list Grade 3 or Grade 4 as being one Vegeta's forms even though he is speculated to have it. They mention Gotenks having ssj2 even though we never see him use it. That implies that Vegeta never got Grade 4, and that Grade 2 is weaker than Grade 5 (SSJ2). In DBS anime, Trunks goes ssj2 and Goku is not surprised that Trunks can use the form. Later Trunks challenges Vegeta and after going ssj2 prompts Vegeta to use ssj3. Vegeta laughs and uses Blue, but Trunks responds by powering up to Grade 3. The scene is right after Trunks has a flashback about Vegeta transcending the SSJ power. This also shows that Grade 2 and ssj2 are conceptually the same form, but once is a better balance. Toriyama calls ssj2 and ssj3 no more than Branches off the regular SSJ form, the same way Grades 2 and Grades 3 are seen as branches. What this all poses is that if Grade 2 and Grade 5 are the same, then Grade 3 is actually stronger than SSJ2 in terms of a multiplier. Your thoughts?
