I love this game because it got visually/aesthetically close to what a dbz game should be. 1. Destructive stages. Even if the destruction goes into the background afterwards, it changes the look of the battlefield just like in the anime. Not to mention, the stages look and feel huge. 2. Battle damage. I like how characters get battle damage on this game. In the end, it really looked like they were in a battle. Ripped clothes, bruises, etc. Just like in the anime. 3. Transformations. In game transformation feels big. It's not just a flash in the screen then POOF, your transformed. Transforming during a fight actually feels like how its done in the anime. 4. The game mechanics. Ok, yes, it can get repetative, but most dbz fights in the anime and other games are repetative too. Step one: charge up. Step 2: dash towards enemy. Step 3: flurry of melee attacks. Step 4: super attack! That's the nature of a dbz fight. HOWEVER! I WOULD ADD ONE THING. To have variety, I would give all characters their own attack/melee animations when the QuickTime event/cutscenes are playing. Kinda like how the shippuden/ninja storm series did. □,□,□,□ is □,□,□,□ for all characters, but the attack animations are different for different characters. I would like to see tien end his QuickTime event/cutscene with a tribeam attack, or yamcha with a wolf fang fist. 5. I like the idea of me throwing a beam, then give my opponent choices on their response. This element was present in the snes/superfamicom dbz games. Of course its easier now because its one button presses, but this feels like how it it is in the anime. I like the massive beam struggles that are present in this game. They really just need to add variety in the QuickTime events/cut scene, add better movements, and give variety on how to trigger those QuickTime events.

You seriously think this game is an 8/10? I wouldn't give this game a score higher than a 3 to be honest. The fighting is so repetitive and simplistic. It barely felt like I was in control of my character. You would literally just have to press one button to trigger these cinematic fight scenes that were the same no matter what character you were playing as. The character creation was also very limited and underdeveloped. Xenoverse has everything that Ultimate Tenkaichi has and more.

Ok, you're a bit stupid for saying Xenoverse is better. Of course it is! Ultimate Tenkaichi was what they experimented with. Especially with the character creation. What happened then? Battle of Z. They took what was wrong with UT and made it better then XV the game UT should have been. Yes the fighting is simple but perhaps it was targeted for a younger audience. It's a great starting game to introduce kids to DBZ (I will admit I don't know when the raging blasts were released.)
