Anytime someone compares the two, I can tell who actually read the arc, and who just watched it with their eyes closed. Goku gave senzu bean because Merus spent the entire arc teaching Goku about justice, and commending Goku for being one to reform his enemies rather than kill them (Merus VERBATIM said this). By Giving Moro a second chance, Goku was simply respecting Merus's wishes and doing what Merus had taught him. Not comparable in the slightest to Goku giving Cell a senzu bean, especially becauase even WITH the senzu bean, Moro continued to get folded by goku. Meanwhile the senzu bean in the cell arc caused cell to beat the brakes off of Gohan, its two different situations.

Honestly that arc was nice and the way it was done was imo pretty good, also the vegeta disrespect is wild give my man a break 😂. Also this is a hot take but imo altough it has major flaws the granolah arc was imo way too hated, it kind of served as a way to show how much damage Frieza truly did to U7 which kind of came full circle with him comming back, the way it also developped Goku and Vegeta with UE and TUI was great since now Vegeta has to learn to move forward from his past and fogive himself while Goku has to take everything he learned and make it come together with UI, also the way Bardock was done is really interesting and i know people will say he soft now but tbh he's far from that if you really look at it (also no the wish didn't ruin Goku's achievements especially knowing the context) ,etc. Now it's far from the greatest arc and tbh it still is one of the least good arcs of Super but it still was pretty dope, the execution was what i think bothered people (me included tbh it couldv'e been done in way better ways)

7:57 a thought occurred. Cell also has Frieza's DNA, and that race is extremely resilient. Like the only way to off Frieza was basically how Trunks did, cut into tiny pieces and then blow up the pieces. So Cell's superior regeneration to Piccolo's is probably due to Frieza's resiliency.
