Congratulations! Sounds great and your playing, as always, is excellent. Your biggest asset in the vintage game is that you're not looking for guitars that are 100% right. You're not afraid of things like a refin, some overspray and a rewound pickup or replaced pot, etc. As much as you love guitars you also look at them as tools and evaluate what you can get out of a guitar despite its "flaws". And those flaws (or modifications) drop the price of a vintage guitar dramatically. Your mindset has afforded you a nice little arsenal of gear. Always a pleasure watching your videos. Thanks.

So many players neglect the lower register on these guitars. I dont understand that. They have real balls down there. I'm glad you play the ENTIRE neck. shows the real sound of these old beasts!

Mike, you just proved its not about gigs or shows or even showing off. Its all about a guitar you feel and sitting on your couch and expressing whats inside with that guitar. I salute you man, and thank you.

Hi Matthew! I always appreciate your sharing cool items and discoveries. I would like to share something with you and you audience. there is a product called Dupont Bug and Tar remover that I began using in 2012 when I was restoring a 1956 stratocaster. If you are careful, you can use it to remove paint that has been applied OVER original Fender nitrocellulose finishes. I was able to remove 6 layers of enamel paint to reveal a Fender original black finish underneath. In addition to the sound being massively improved, it looks great with all its bumps and bruises, and is more valuable because of the original finish. I hope this is a help to you and anyone else that reads this comment. These old Stratocasters are the Stradivarius violins of our era and should be cherished and preserved IMHO.

Brazilian rosewood! I saw this for about C$9600 on reverb, this is really not a bad deal compared to something like like a silly Fender custom shop masterbuilt Cunetto relic, I mean what the hell is that anyway? Some over-decorated Yuppie furniture for nearly the same price? I'm keeping an eye out for a late Sixties Strat because of your channel dude. The way you dive into an online purchase like that is inspiring, but obviously not simple and easy.
