Honestly, I think Mountaineer fans, myself included are gonna be disappointed again this Saturday night. As badly as I want to see Old gold and blue get one against a decent team I have serious doubts about how well prepared WVU will be Oct. 19th.

Remember what Avery did at the end of the Buff's game. 75 yards in 3 plays and less than 70 seconds. That should worry opposing teams concerning Avery's passing threat.

It’s always darkest before dawn - I could see the boys rallying behind NB after all the drama, playing hard and getting the W On the other hand, NB hasn’t convinced a soul he can win a big game and we all know his record vs top 25 teams. Nervous about Avery Johnson and of course our secondary. We’ll see!

Players play to win. They only do what the coaches tell them. The problem is Brown and Co. None are or should be at this level.

I have thrown in the towel on the coaches. I believe in the players but not the coaches. WVU has the talent to be the Big 12 champions. But Neal Brown is out of his coaching league. We need a higher caliber coaching staff with top 10 ranking experience. No more K-mart blue light special coaches. Nobody pulled out of the bargain bin. Colleges make billions of dollars and WVU should be able to afford a great coach. If WVU is having money issues, someone better grow a spine and execute an internal audit and find out if someone is not embezzling millions of dollars and putting it in their own pockets. There is no excuse for this. Look at Don Nehlen, and Rich Rod. They proved it can be done. Even Dana produced competitve and exiting football. Neal Brown is like a bad cold that just will not go away no matter what you try to do to get better. His job is to produce wins. He is producing loses. They did it with the basketballl coaches, it is time to do it with the football coaching staff. It is time to clean house.

Couz, this was a 50/50 game a couple weeks ago and now most barely give us a chance. Hey players, make the plays that will be presented to you. Hey coaches, put these players in more situations to make plays. Boring? Yes. Winning football? Damn right!

CU tried to stop the run and couldn’t. When they stacked the box with 8 Avery’s arm worked fine. So fine he threw 3 times their winning drive at the end. 2 completions and they went 85 yards on those 2 plays combined. Avery can beat you with his arm if you try to stop the run. Have no doubt about that.

I feel all you will need to look at afterward will be critical plays and I feel like their QB, defense or special teams will make them. I pray Im wrong but thats what we've been fed so far. I'll believe different when I see it. I mean, they did it against Kansas, but good teams separate themselves by doing it consistently.

I just moved back home to WV after I retired an my 1st football season in 2021 I think it was brown 1st top 25 win that almost didn't happen. QB an brown played great in 1st half against 15 rank VA tech. 24 to 7 half lead. 2nd half offense shut down only had a field goal . It literally took a pass knock down on 4th an goal with about 10 seconds left to preserve the win. I'll never forget standing in front of the tv right before that play an saying this would be a heartbreak for the ages if VA tech got that touchdown an win. Brown only had 2 other top 25 wins. Several others could have been. Bad clock management bad play calls or Jordan zone cost us a win. WV coaches need to step up with better in game adjustments. Saturday night if we lay back in the zone that K st QB will light us up he not a great passer though a great runner an keeping plays alive. I believe if we don't keep 5 men on D line every play we get outscored an lose. We shall see how it runs out Saturday night.
