Tim is probably the greatest ever and George Younce right behind him because of his ability to actually sing and not just hit low notes. That's why I love Tim too cause he isn't just a bass but an actual singer who sounds great as a solo. Now Jeff Chapman blew me away the other day when I heard him for the first time and he too has a good solo voice but Tim is still my pick for crazy deep bass. Richard Sterban is far from the best living bass singer as long as Tim is breathing!Period LOL

When he goes low, he moves his hand to a different mic... he pulls it out of his pocket .... as the piano player distracts your view, sort of like magic.... there he did it again.........ha.... just kiddin'...... spectacular singin'

Nice to hear Bruce T. sing in his lower register. I havent' seen them live, but the videos I've seen have him sounding almost angry. I do like his voice, don't get me wrong

@DJRanchIncorperated I will have to say that Tim does have exceptional quality, but Joe Brown is able to actually SING and has good quality, unlike some of the ones mentioned. Richard Sterban also has a really rich tone and great quality as well. He's regarded as one of the best out there today, and is the best LIVING bass out there in my opinion. I mean, Elvira is just awesome with his bass lines!

Listen to the sound. He gives those boys something for their sound to stand on. As for the two mikes comment Sadly you're mistaken. He does fiddle with the pockets but he pushes the flap down. His hand never enters the pocket and two microphones that close would cause ear splitting feedback. I've also met Tim and I can tell you his voice from three feet away will hurt your ears. Some are lower. Some are better. But the sound is what impresses this frustrated monotone tenor. Lol
