The judge's answer was (these aren't her exact words, I'm just paraphrasing): _"You need to figure out how to make more money. As a former realtor, I run from cases like this. It is not worth your time. My first listing was a divorce couple selling by court order. Total nightmare.

Yes but in this case there is no court order to set a deadline for them to decide on a realtor. Only that they must sell the house that is stupid and open ended b/c at this point she will never decide on a realtor without a deadline to do so. IMO this needs to be done

This is what’s needed both retroactively and going forward for men’s rights. The family courts have abused the rights of men for a long time. The woman in the story intentionally works a low wage jobs so that she can exploit the family court system. If she can’t afford to feed and keep these children in a home, the court should give them to the father.

I've never understood cases like this where one parent makes little to no money and the other makes more than enough. The children should automatically go to the parent who can financially support them, unless there is something wrong with that parent. Being abusiveness, alcoholic, or drug addict, etc.

Generally speaking, that’s because there has been a stay at home parent for a substantial amount of years. If you make that choice in a marriage, both parties have to accept that in the event of the divorce. The arrangement has to continue for quite some time until the stay home parent can reestablish themselves. I am a woman who gave my ex-husband three years to find his feet while I paid many of the bills In our marriage, I was the breadwinner so I had to expect a reasonable period of time for him to get on his feet and sort himself out, careerwise, etc. I started to put pressure on after two years and sold the house on year three So many bitter men here just think your responsibility dissolves the second you get divorce irresponsibility to the children, which in advertently may benefit your ex spouse many times over who gives a shit I care that my children have two safe homes that means my ex-husband benefits from my money still then so be it because I will give my children the best I can their dad their dad just be collateral beneficiary

They just don't tolerate being extorted by the courts so the govt and usually the woman are lining their pockets off the guys labor with impunity. ****Most situations aren't your situation it's the other way around In general the child support payments should be set as a consistent state number based off minimum wage of the state. Kids of rich parents don't REQUIRE more than kids of middle class parents If maintaining the "standard of living" is so important it's the primary concern than kids should default to the breadwinner in the relationship and adjust it from there weigh who supervises them and then the non breadwinner has visitation part-time.

This judges decision by "keeping it simple" to have him give an hours notice even during scheduled parenting time infuriates me. The man makes over a hundred grand a year, meaning he must have a very respectful position with the company he works for and for him to take time out of his work day to follow along with such a (imo) petty procedure is complete asinine. How is that truly simple?!? I get that it can be as simple as sending a scheduled text on a regular basis, but it's the principal of it all that blows my mind. She should be grateful that he didn't adamantly choose to stay in the home to begin with to which she would have ZERO control.
