I have a buddy getting good gold in the street gutters in Ogden Utah. There is a lot of black sand and quartz in the road base they get from a gravel pit at the mouth of a canyon known to contain gold.

@@michaelburness5183 well mate youl luv it down here do plenty of research though it's the trick to getting a speck or 2 and hone your bush craft very easy to get lost good luck mate hope it works out for ya cheers

@@tazyt3388 ye, Im more interested in the prospecting and living in the bush, If I find any gold its just a nice bonus. Kinda like my fishing, I loooove fishing but put all my fish back. Do you know many prospectors down there who do it alone and live of what they find ? I hope I can eventually live of my finds but I know that will be a long time before I can.
@tazyt33884 жыл бұрын
@@michaelburness5183 I don't know of any prospectors who make a living of the yella mate it's too patchy and the exploration leases on the good ground make it hard to get consistent gold .as a hobby it's amazing as a job you'll starve but there's plenty of work about too .I've prospected most of my life and save it all to make rings for the family always find some ,never lots but to go bush n hunt the relics and old sites is my thing the old boys were hard buggers n didn't leave much .it's pretty wicked down here mate

@@tazyt3388 I cant wait, Im so excited, just the fishing and bush alone is enough for me to live there. Watched Van Diemens land recently, what great senery. Its definitely going to just be a hobby for my first few years. I am definitely a greenhorn atm but I just feel so passionate about it.

He said about $35 dollars worth in the 3 bags of sand he bought from Home Depot that he only paid $2 dollars a bag not a bad return for his investment I'de say !!!

You talk and act just like they would have done during the gold rush in 1849. You need to get a pair of tweezers and put all that fine gold in a vial.

Would enjoy this alot more if he just used his normal voice.

Yes, it's entertaining. No, it's not remotely profitable given your time, travel and equipment expense. No, gold isn't going up in value each and every day. You say you need an ounce a day, but it doesn't look like you recovered more than 3 grams this entire week. You are paying to play rather than being paid to get this exercise as you put it. We all know youtube doesn't pay a lot per 1000 views, but in this episode youtube is giving you a LOT more money than the gold you worked for.

Jim, this is a show called Gold Fever off of the Outdoor channel. The host is the Son of the Channel’s founder. This show was about finding gold in the big city and it was interesting and informative. What’s the deal?
