I think about those details all the time! Whoever lost it must have been distraught, unless is was buried with them, although the place I found it doesn't seem a likely place to bury someone. It's a miracle it's not damaged in some way. Thanks!

That shortcross is not a copy clearly says henricvs around the edge , it's a king John or Henry

I can see henricvs what about the back though? I don't recognise the words on the back and haven't found a match for the hair styling and pellets in the crown. There is an exact match for this coin in the 1995 Numismatic Chronicle pages 209-260 though, which places it as a continental copy struck in Lippe.
