This wicked Gothic Mansion was owed by Carmarthenshire County Council, they least it out to CCTA (Carmarthenshire College of Technology and Arts). It was mainly an Agricultural and Art College. The room you gained entry was one of the old classrooms. The Art in Main building is not from the Art Classes. I did my Forestry course here prior to the sad fact of CCTA pulling out. I've slept in the room 'with a view', twice. I could write an essay relating to this place and surrounding areas. I met my wife here, learnt to drive here and I've helped to name almost every tree here. It is a dam shame that the present owner is indifferent to maintaining the Property as this place has so many positive attributes. Good video guys. Thank you for your time

Thanks, Matt. I used to go to agriculture college in this building in 2000/2001, and I had a blast running around the place, it saddens Me to see it in such a state of disrepair 😞

Fun and games with the owner aside, that place must have one hell of a history behind it. But I must admit it's recent past seems a bit strange to say the least. A collection of intermingled and interconnected bedsits, strange art all over the place. Beds the size of football fields, one must wonder what those walls have witnessed over the years! A strange place indeed, would love to have a time machine to witness it over the years. Great explore Matt.

Golden grove Trust is a registered charity made up of one trustee and 9 Volunteers, they were granted nearly £1m in 2015 by the Welsh Government for renovation. It doesn't look like they spent any of it on renovations.💰💰💰💰💰💰

31:57 was my old room when I stayed at Gelli Aur back in 1991. There was a media course there back then. The facilities were shared with an agricultural college. Its sad to see it in such disrepair. This was about 30 years go now of course. Still, a beautiful mansion, and sad to see it fall apart like that..

I like how the old chap said "were used to people like you!" in a sneering and supercilious kind of way without asking the big question of why would these people that he's accusing of stealing from him video the crime whilst they do it and also do it with equipment that in some cases can be very expensive. Not really the actions of any self respecting or hardened criminals in my view. Bet he wishes you could go back to the good old medieval times and when you could still chop a peasants hand of for picking up firewood!! Very nice building though Matt and a good explore, cheers.

For those that have not googled this place it's been used several times as a film set including a film minutes to midnight which was about nazis, hence the 'dodgy' stuff left behind. The BBC have used it for filming too. I think the Eddie izzard film was in 2018 and 150 crew were there. Items make more sense when you know.

Maybe you should print out some fliers and staple them to the door explaining the law the crimes act on trespassing? That if you are asked to leave and you do, you are not and have not committed an offense. They can only hold you for Police if you wont leave or if you have broken in which if you can walk straight in is not breaking and entering. Im kind of sick of these moronic people really.

Gelli Aur is fairly local to me and a friend used to model for art classes that were held there in the 90’s, which would explain some of the artwork still present. He used to say it wasn’t so bad in the summer, but come winter time the students didn’t have so much to draw.😂 On a serious note, great footage as always, but it’s a shame to see the house fall into such a state of disrepair.

This place is amazing for sure. On the outside it looks like abandoned for many years, inside is a different story. Why would they leave it like this? That man at the end was a hot mess.
