Love the videos, I just bought and received a GPX 6000. I’ve been using a GPX 5000 for the last 8 or so years. What’s your opinion on the 6000 as it compares to the 5000. If the 6000 finds the same gold as the 5000 along with the smaller nuggets then it’s a plus plus.

The 6000 finds gold the 5000 can't even see. Prickly rough bits and specimens where the gold is finely dissemminated. With a bigger coil and on solid nuggets, the 5000 can punch deeper.

Can gp series on top for nugget & treasure pl tell us
@diggingwithphasetech2 жыл бұрын
The earlier GP series units were great detectors. Still go deep on nuggety gold, but these days they are lacking on sensitivity to very small gold compared to the more modern gold detectors SDC2300, GPX6000 and GPZ7000. For treasure yes they can be used, the only limitation is you only have Iron discrimination and only to shallow depths. Hope that helps

Hi Nenad. I'm thinking of buying a SP01 booster for my 7000. When being used without headphones, is it best to plug into the WM 12? I'm not sure if I'm missing subtle targets, as I'm deaf in one ear and the higher frequency range in my good ear has reduced over the years. Appreciate your expertise:)
@diggingwithphasetech2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, when you plug into the WM12 it works as a wireless receiver, so you still need to plug headphones or an external speaker into the SP01 output. The SP01 helps with audio clarity and target definition, and also detector stability by allowing you to keep the main GPZ volume on a lower level. If you have lost higher frequencies, then you should lower the audio tone on your detector, and then you can try the different filter options on the SP01 to optimize for your hearing.

Every state has different laws, but in this forest you need to buy a yearly permit then it is legal.

Hey Arthur, what are you watching on? Maybe try with headphones. I've got the video volume on about 2/3, and my laptop volume on 25%, and am hearing it loud and clear.
