This particular scam was on Dr Phil. A man was "dating" a woman over the internet that said she was a New York University lecturer who was traveling in Nigeria. She said her friend died in Nigeria and had a trunk of money that she want to send to this guy but she needed $2,500 of import charges. He paid, and he got stung after that 5 more times because the woman said she got into legal trouble. He lost roughy $400,000 and Dr Phil sent a Nigerian media correspondent to retrieve the trunk. The trunk was opened in front of the guy on stage and it was totally empty. I don't get how ppl fall for this shit.

I got that scan twice, pissed off the scammer, but went ahead and called the IRS. They told me it was a scam. So, the next time I got the scam I told him, he was committing a crime, and I had reported him to the IRS. Then he laughed. and said he was in India and there was nothing they could do.
