Still working my way up the creek, its a long creek that is close to 20km long. So eventually i will hit the mother load. It's a long video, as much for me to sit back and watch in winter, but does show the area i working in.

At the beginning i had to set leg up on right angle Doug, it does turn over more soil than a pan, so gets through the area quicker and once you find a spec of gold, can then run the sluice as well

Hey Jack, you want to be getting down deep mate not much gold in the top layers of a creek, Closer to bedrock the better. I would be using a big shovel and pre classifying into buckets then run it thru the wheel. Keep the vids coming mate, cheers Balx

Definitely agree with above poster... If you don't sort out you material, you are not going to have much success... No matter what your source or where it comes from! Get a good set of sieves & sort it out, but you will find the best at the lower levels. Incidentally, has anyone heard of a giant gold wheel? I mean metres not inches & appropriate sized ridges... I haven't found anything so far but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist somewhere... Adam
