Just watched a few serves of the guy in white, in slow motion to confirm, and his serve is illegal. The top of the paddle is above his wrist

Most volley servers meet the ball in between the 6:00 and the 7:30 position. The guy in the white shirt is consistently meeting the ball in the 8:00 position. You would have to breech the 9:00 position to be illegal.

Seems about right for 3.0. at 72, I am hoping to play next year at 4.0 Singles. I still have a ways to go.

I thought everybody looked tired the third game. Also thought the guy in white was serving illegally. Some of his serves were struck with a horizontal motion, while the rules require an upward motion. As for the woman in the blue visor, I think if she were not a 3.0 they wouldn't have gotten this far in the tournament. Again, she looked tired most of the time. As a 75-year-old myself I can sympathize.

I wondered about the serve at first as well. That being said, I cannot believe his partner in white top and blue visor is a 3.0 player. She is just terrible. That spastic upward slap as a lob is beyond cringeworthy. Perhaps she was just tired from several earlier matches but that was a mess.
