Well done JG. Nothing better than a rattle in the Jar. About to start 3 weeks leave so hope to put a few rattles in the jar myself. Maryborough has been fairly good to many over the years and there is still plenty left just maybe a bit more ground between them. Last time I was there the bloody big Mossies nearly drove me mad. And seemed immune to the repellent. But at least the cooler weather will shut them down until next summer.

Funny how after watching videos for a while, I still hear the sound in my head out walking, or driving the car! I'm getting a second hand GPZ soon :) I've never even done detecting but when I get the time will enjoy being out there to be sure. Like the show too, just the right amount of commentary with the odd bit of environmental education and sharing machine settings. You should tell us exact coords of your locations too. Ha ha joke, that's one thing 0% of lucky prospectors share I bet ;)

The video is from Victoria. There are goldfields here in some parts of Australia but most of the gold has been found. There is not much gold left as people have been looking for it for 150 years.

Yes, You can look for gold on government land, all need to do is pay a small fee, around $50USD for 10 years. If you want to look for gold on private property, you need the owners permission .

The gpz 7000 minelab is completely surpassed by the long ranks for gold which are efficient and 20 times faster and deeper than the gpz7000 is too expensive 8500 dollars !!! minelab technology has become obsessed with the search for gold !!!! I sold my minelab gpx7000 and I bought a Ger detect gold hunter 6 months ago and it is incredible and I bought it 3200 dollars in France for the Congo !!!! I am very happy!!!!!

You can purchase a miner right here: checkout.payments.com.au/minersRight/ I would suggest you start with an SDC2300 detector and try your luck around the Bendigo Goldfields. There is a state forrest called Whipstick and ive done well there with my SDC2300, just ask the gold prospecting stores when you buy your gear, the be able to show you exactly.
