I've been down the mine, it was a quite a hot day on the surface but in the mine it was cool and damp, it goes in a long way - over 1000 feet i think

I can imagine it getting quite cool in the mine. I did hear a member of staff suggesting to a visitor to bring a jumper with them, for when they went down the mine.
