Great video and information Matt. I believe that 'dissapointment' is hard for many potential prospectors to get used to, unfortunately it's part of the activity of digging lead or gold and can take a person to their Lowest and Highest emotional experience.

Absolutely it can mate. Merry Christmas and happy new year. Best of luck for that big one in 2025 ⚒️🇦🇺👍

I have been looking for 2 years in Virginia. I know it is here, but I haven't found it yet. And that is because I haven't put the work in. Good luck everyone and don't give up.

A good point that you made about researching survival skills. Too many people perish in WA while out prospecting where most of the deaths could be prevented imho.
@TerraRangerGoldАй бұрын
Absolutely I think it’s an important topic that doesn’t get discussed amongst prospectors enough. Perhaps I will make a video about it 😀👍⚒️🇦🇺 Merry Christmas 🎄

One important factor for this video, not mentioned is you must/will dig. Research will lead you in the right direction, maximising the drop out zones where you find the first piece is the next step. Rake back, discover more then play the mental game. Which way, does it get bigger deeper, when does it run out. Good luck everyone I did it for exactly 1 year recently, fun rewarding and tough is it. Cheers 🍻

It’s a lot of fun when you do a lot of research and after binge watching Chris Ralph for about 5 years, you discover you live on an old mine dump and you can walk outside and pick up gossan and wire gold because old miners didn’t know what it was. This happened to me. My poor hands though. They have cuts and blisters from cleaning and rubbing my finds and sticking my hands in Coca Cola 😂 Wire gold is SHARP! And red clay is extremely hard to remove, but it’s all worth it when you see shiny wires start to peek through 😎

Oh ow, an old mine, that’s cool. Chris Ralph is very informative 👍 The body does take a beating but it’s worth it.

100% research research. I spend more hours doing that than I do in the field.
@TerraRangerGoldАй бұрын
Spot on, me too. I would be very wealthy if I spent as much time finding gold than I do reading about where to find it. 😂👍

@@TerraRangerGold Haha yep same. Got to do it to get the results though. 👍

All true! My biggest problem (at 70) will be finding friends with the time and physical ability to accompany me on multi day trips in to the mountains.

Wow, that may prove difficult. Best of luck and Merry Christmas 🎄

Oh yeah, took a while to find some gold. Had a guy message me saying if we could team up as he just bought a 4500 & wants to get on the gold. Told him to at least do a training course first.
