Your thoughts come from thinking a ceramic chip is like a plastic chip where the bond wires are encapsulated in epoxy. with a ceramic chip, two halves of ceramic are fused together under heat with frit. so the silicon die and bond wires are actually in a hollow. The frit, lead frame, and bonding wires is melted, but the melting temps of the ceramic halves and silicon dies is too high to melt in his crucible. He has carefully chosen the model of processors he's processing. They are well known to have a lot of gold content.

During cupellation, are you spraying oxygen towards the dore to allow the lead to oxidize? Was always curious if you’d just gotten it very hot on a stainless steel pan and injected oxygen, as I’ve only seen cupelling using a cupel that soaks in the lead oxide into it. Thanks!
